Dr. Greg Cope, Ph.D. is the Director of the Challenge Course at Glen Eyrie. Dr. Cope has a strong educational background in the areas of personal motivation, challenge education, leadership training and group dynamics.
His Ph.D. in Education focused on school dropouts and the use of the Hebrew Education Model. Dr. Cope has taught at college and graduate schools for over 24 years. He founded four public schools, two of which were Charter Schools, and co-founded an Outdoor Adventure Nonprofit company. He has served on staff in churches in Utah, Kentucky, Colorado, and Indiana.
Dr. Cope also has a company that designs and creates new musical instruments. Dr. Cope designs each instrument as an educational tool for personal and organizational growth. He has impressive educational credentials and experience in areas such as personal motivation, challenge education, leadership training, and group dynamics. He has a BA in Music Education, two Masters Degrees: one in Education and the second in Music Education. His Ph.D. in Education was acquired through extensive research on school dropouts and the use of the Hebrew Education Model in alternative education.
His personal mission is to encourage "Minds and Hearts in discovering Purpose with Lives to Shape the Future." The Challenge Course is a culmination of his experience and training.
