“I learned the meaning of true joy…” Sara trusted God for BIG things and it was worth it.
Sara’s week at The Glen was life-changing, “I was able to see God answer prayer so much clearer than I’ve ever seen before.” Not only did Sara get first-hand experience in trusting God, but she said, “I learned the meaning of true joy…”
Before coming to The Glen with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, Sara had been building relationships with a few girls in her classes at college. After weeks of prayer and few conversations, Sara extended the invitation to a couple of girls.
Kami accepted. It was an amazing answer to prayer!
Sara always anticipates coming to The Glen, for her, it is a place where she finds wisdom and rest. This year “was the best I have ever been to. The speakers were incredible, the students were ecstatic, and everyone just seemed to be on fire for God. What an environment for someone who doesn’t have a personal relationship with God to be in!”
However, toward the end of the week, Sara still didn’t know if Kami would make the transformative decision to follow Christ. “I was exhausted physically and spiritually, but all I could think was ‘Trust God, Sara. Trust God’.”
It wasn’t until the end of the retreat when Sara finally saw what she had been trusting God for: Kami accepted Christ and started a new journey with the Lord!
Romans 15:13 says: “May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
For the rest of the conference, “I could not get a smile off my face. Although tears were flowing from my eyes, I had this great smile. God provided me with so much joy.”
