39th Annual Physicians' Discipleship Retreat

Designed By Physicians For Physicians

Join us for a one-of-a-kind way to unplug from the busyness of life, spend quality time alone with God, and connect with other Christian physicians from around the country.

When you arrive at the Physicians’ Discipleship Retreat you will be welcomed into an environment of safety and grace, where physicians can share openly with each other and be challenged to deepen their walk with the Lord. Because of the unique experience gained at this retreat, many physicians have returned to Glen Eyrie every year, some for 20+ years! Attendees leave feeling refreshed, focused on God’s will for their lives, and ultimately growing spiritually as a Christian physician.

This unique discipleship retreat is great for couples, singles, and physicians in training.

Event Speaker

Jim Petersen

Jim Petersen is an associate to the general director of The Navigators. In 1963, he and his family moved to Brazil to pioneer the Navigator ministry in that country. Teamed with another couple, Ken and Carol Lottis, they began with university students. They introduced Christ to them and then continued to disciple and mentor them after they graduated and moved across the country in pursuit of their careers. This, in time, resulted in a movement that has expanded and continues to grow in many cities across Brazil and on into other countries. In 1985 Jim and his family moved to Colorado Springs where he served on the International Executive Team of The Navigators.

In those years, from 1985 – 2000, Jim coached ministry teams in the Middle East, Europe, Eurasia, Asia and Africa, as well as in Latin America. Through living and ministering in many cultures, Jim has acquired a wealth of experience in reaching and discipling people who are outside the Christian context. He shares what he has learned in his books Living Proof, Church Without Walls, Lifestyle Discipleship, The Insider (co-authored by Mike Shamy) and More Than Me (co-authored by Glenn McMahan and Dr. David Russ). Jim has four children; Michelle McMahan, Todd Petersen, Raquel Seal and Rochelle Raimao. He and his wife, Gigi, live in Colorado Springs where they continue to pursue their calling to make Christ known.
