Dear Guests,

We want to warmly welcome you to Glen Eyrie! Throughout the last year, we have worked diligently to ensure our COVID-19 response complies with state and local restrictions as well as industry best practices. We are excited to see these government requirements easing as we make our way into the summer, so I want to share an update on our current response to COVID-19:

  1. All staff are trained to health screen, and not attend work if experiencing any illness symptoms.
  2. We maintain Plexiglas barriers in the areas that guests and staff interact face to face the most, including the Bookstore register and Front Desk.
  3. Housekeeping and cleaning protocols of lodges, public areas, and back-office areas have been enhanced per CDC guidance and industry best practices.
  4. Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the property.

In response to the CDC’s announcement on May 13th updating mask guidance for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, the government order in Colorado currently indicates the following:

Any individual, age eleven (11) and older, who is not fully vaccinated, is encouraged to wear a medical or non-medical cloth face covering that covers the nose and mouth when entering or within an indoor space where members of different households are present.

As a result, we have chosen at Glen Eyrie to not require our staff or any guests to wear a facemask.  We also recognize that guests will be resuming travel and group activities with a variety of diverse experiences with COVID-19 and differing comfort levels. These are unique times to navigate.  We encourage guests to take individual measures to help stop the spread of illness, including remaining at home and not participating in group activities if experiencing symptoms of illness, practicing social distancing, hand hygiene, and mask usage as an individual choice if needed. 

We believe that all visitors to Glen Eyrie need to own their personal responsibility to make the decisions that correspond with their individual comfort level.  Please reach out to our Guest Services department with any specific questions about your stay. If you are attending a meeting or retreat at Glen Eyrie, I encourage you to speak with your conference organizer about how they will be implementing COVID-19 protocols during the event you’ll be attending.
