How Do We Begin to look at our wellness through a biblical lens?

Being Well in Christ is an interactive 2-day retreat that will help you explore and learn what caring for the mind, body, and soul looks like and how to connect your spirituality (soul) with your emotional and physical well-being (mind/body).

Based on Biblical principles and personal experience, retreat host Mary Wood will teach and guide you to uncover the joy and purpose of living for the glory of God. This retreat features interactive activities appropriate for all ages and ability levels as well as practical lecture and personal reflective practices. As you learn to appreciate and uncover God’s love for you and your body, you will also explore your misconceptions about self-image, look deeper into true wellness and implement wellness disciplines and techniques to use in your everyday life.

Mary will be joined by a holy yoga instructor who will lead optional yoga sessions on Saturday afternoon.

Mary Wood

Being Well in Christ is led by Mary Wood. Mary is an AAAI/IMSA and ACE certified personal trainer, Pilates and group fitness instructor and has been a professional in the wellness and physical therapy world for over 30 years. She has served with The Navigators for 25 years equipping people to fully live for God through scripture engagement, encouragement, and living out the words of Jesus.


We are making every effort to comply with state and county orders and recommendations regarding cleanliness, food service and social distancing. All staff begin their shift with a temperature check and health screening.  We have installed Plexiglas barriers in critical areas to limit face to face interactions, and our staff will be wearing face masks.  The wearing of face coverings inside buildings is required for guests per state mandate, but you may remove them while eating or drinking.  We will be doing a quick temperature check before the first meeting. 

Weekend attire is casual and be prepared to do lots of walking. Our weather can be unpredictable, so pack layers. Bring workout gear if you plan to participate in the optional yoga session. And don’t forget to bring your Bible!

Glen Eyrie Programs require payment in full at the time of reservation. Reservations cancelled or rescheduled at least 14 days prior to the start date will be charged a 10% fee. Reservations cancelled or rescheduled within 14 days of the start date will be charged a 50% fee and have a Glen Eyrie gift card issued for the remaining 50%. Reservations cancelled within 3 days of the event date will be charged the full amount.

Our property contains 95 guest rooms located in 7 buildings, including our historic Castle. None of our rooms have televisions, although free wi-fi is available throughout the property. Rooms contain coffee makers, but no microwaves or refrigerators. These are available for use in each building’s common area. To see pictures of our rooms, visit our website Gleneyrie.org/lodging.

Please notify us of any allergies or dietary needs in advance. Our Food & Beverage team can accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian diets with advance notice. We are not a gluten-free certified kitchen, and cross-contamination may occur.
