About the Retreat
Christians talk much of having a personal relationship with Jesus, but perhaps we should examine what the actual “lived in life” nature of that relationship is like. How deep does it go? How close to him are we? How much does our relationship with Jesus actually frame our daily life?
During the 2026 Educators Summer Repose we shall be invited to explore and experience Jesus as friend. The gospel invites us into friendship with God—a staggering reality. And having the divine friendship with God for which we were created has a transforming effect on every aspect of our lives. By getting to know Jesus as our friend, we get to know God as he really is. Jesus leads us into the heart and life of God.
As always, you will have plenty of time to converse with God about these things, time to be uplifted and prayed for, time to rest and be quiet, and time to fellowship with folks who will get where you are without judgment or instruction. Come, and let your spirit be renewed.

- This price assumes two people in the hotel room and both are attending the retreat. ($990 divided by 2 = $495 for each person)
- If registering online for 2 people, only one credit card can be entered. To split charges on two cards, you must speak to a reservations agent by calling 719-265-7050.

Retreat Leader
Donovan L. Graham, Ed.D., is the Director of the Center for Teacher Renewal, a non-profit, support-based ministry designed to enable Christian educators to experience the renewing grace of God for themselves and to enhance their professional abilities in ways that reveal grace in the classroom. A former professor of education at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA, Donovan is the author of two powerful books for educators: Teaching Redemptively, Bringing Grace and Truth Into Your Classroom and Making A Difference, Christian Educators in Public Schools. Dr. Graham is a teacher, counselor, and spiritual guide for those who seek to vibrantly live out their Christian faith in all dimensions of their work. Donovan and his wife, Wilma, have been providing soul care to students and weary pilgrims for nearly 50 years.
FAQ
Our property is over 700 acres and contains 8 miles of hiking trails. Depending on where you are staying, you should be prepared to do lots of walking. Our weather can be unpredictable, so pack layers. Attire for the retreat is casual, and don’t forget your Bible!
Glen Eyrie Programs require payment in full at the time of reservation. Reservations cancelled or rescheduled at least 14 days prior to the start date will be charged a 10% fee. Reservations cancelled or rescheduled within 14 days of the start date will be charged a 50% fee. Reservations cancelled within 3 days of the event date will be charged the full amount.
Our property contains 95 guest rooms in 7 different lodges, including our historic Castle. None of our rooms have TV’s, although free wi-fi is available throughout the property. Rooms contain coffee makers, but no microwaves or refrigerators. They are available for guest use in the common areas of each lodge. Please notify us of any allergies or dietary needs in advance. Our Food & Beverage team can accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian diets with advance notice. We are not a gluten-free certified kitchen, and cross-contamination may occur.
