Payment, Refund, and Cancellation Policies

Credit Cards Glen Eyrie is pleased to accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Individual Overnight Stays Reservations for individual overnight stays require a valid credit/debit card to guarantee the reservation. At check-in, the credit card on file will be fully authorized for the cost of the stay, plus an additional $100 incidental hold.

• Reservations canceled before 4:00 p.m. on the day prior to arrival will be canceled without penalty.
• Reservations canceled after 4:00 p.m. on the day prior to arrival will be charged the full cost of the first night’s stay, including applicable taxes. For a multi-night stay, all room nights must be cancelled a minimum of 24 hours prior.
• No-shows will be charged the full cost of any night where 24 hours’ notice is not provided, plus applicable taxes. For a multi-night stay, reservation inventory will be released by 11:00am the morning after a no-show.
• Reservations booked under special promotional rates are prepaid and non-refundable, including Madrigal Overnight Rooms. Please review the terms associated with your specific rate at the time of booking.
• All tax-exempt reservations must be arranged at least 48 hours in advance of arrival to confirm proper documentation by calling our reservations line at 719-265-7050.

Guest rooms are reserved by room type, not by specific room number. While we make every effort to accommodate room preferences and special requests, all requests are subject to availability at the time of arrival. Refunds, discounts, or cancellations will not be granted if a specific room request cannot be fulfilled. ADA requirements should be reviewed by calling the Reservations Department at 719-265-7050.

Castle Tours, Hikes and Rock Climbing All reservations require a credit card to guarantee the reservation.  Cancellations require a minimum of 24 hours notice before the scheduled start time. No-Shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

Saturday Classes (Watercolor, Nature Journaling, Soapmaking)  All reservations require a credit card to guarantee the reservation.  Cancellations require a minimum of 24 hours notice before the scheduled start time. No-Shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

Castle Teas All reservations for Castle Teas require a credit card for payment. No cash or checks will be accepted. Payment will be collected by the server at the end of the scheduled tea. Cancellations require a minimum of 24 hours notice before the scheduled start time to be completed without penalty. No-Shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling. 

Glen Eyrie Programs

• All Glen Eyrie Program retreat reservations—including marriage retreats, writers’ conferences, and other multi-day retreats—must be paid in full at the time of booking. Reservations may be made by phone using a credit card or in person using cash or a credit card. Cancellations received 14 or more calendar days prior to the program start date will receive a full refund, less a 10% cancellation fee.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of the program start date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
• No changes, cancellations, refunds, or credits can be made within 72 hours of the program start date.
• No-shows are not eligible for refunds, credits, or rescheduling.

Glen Eyrie Special Events  Glen Eyrie special events  – such as Madrigal, Princess Ball, concerts, dinners and plays – must be paid in full at the time of booking. Reservations are non-refundable and non-transferable to any other event date or purchase. Reservations are fully transferable to another guest for the same event.

Refunds All refunds issued by Glen Eyrie for any and all transactions will be made according to the following policies.

• Cash payments will be refunded via check within 14 business days.
• Credit Card payments will be refunded only to the original credit card presented for payment.

Glen Eyrie-Initiated Cancellations – In the event that Glen Eyrie must cancel an event, a full refund of the reservation, transfer of the reservation to another day or the issue of a gift certificate will occur. In the event that Glen Eyrie must cancel an event for which a guest has airline tickets or other travel arrangements, Glen Eyrie will not reimburse such related expenses.

Can’t make it? In the event a guest is unable to arrive to Glen Eyrie for a scheduled event, for any reason, including but not limited to illness, travel problems, weather or any other reason that Glen Eyrie is not responsible for, Glen Eyrie will not refund the cost of the reservation.

Glen Eyrie Bookstore/Cafe The Glen Eyrie Bookstore/Cafe accepts cash and credit cards. Refunds of merchandise may be made within 30 days of purchase with the original receipt. No refunds will be made without the original receipt. Merchandise must be in re-sellable condition. Credit card transactions will be refunded to the original credit card used for payment. The original credit card must be present to receive a refund.
