Guided Hiking
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Glen Eyrie offers guided hikes on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 8:30 am. Explore with confidence with a Glen Eyrie Guide and let us be part of the memories you make during your travels. This 1 to 2 hour hike covers 1.2 miles and you will gain over 300 vertical feet.
The experience is $14/person.
Private Hiking
Overnight guests are welcome to private hiking at their own pace on any of our 16 available trails right here on the property. Trail levels range from easy to difficult in a breathtaking atmosphere. Please note: private hiking is only available for those with a reservation for tea, tour or a stay.

Garden of the Gods Access:
With over 4 million visitors a year, Garden of the Gods is a top destination in Colorado Springs. Glen Eyrie is 1.5 miles from the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center.

Climbing Experience
Experience the thrill of rock climbing in a safe, welcoming environment on our three‑hour guided adventure led by highly trained, friendly, and experienced climbing guides. We’ll provide skilled instruction, personalized support, and a strong emphasis on safety and fun—our experience is designed for all ability levels and offers a memorable introduction to the beauty and challenge of outdoor climbing. Whether you’re brand-new to the sport or a seasoned climber, our guides love to create a supportive atmosphere that allows you to explore, learn, and enjoy an unforgettable climb in God’s stunning creation.

Adults: $100
Children: $50*
* Children must have an adult present
- Participants must be able to hike to Echo Rock Valley (About a quarter mile out and back)
- Reasonably fit, able to comfortably walk up and down hills for an hour or more
- Weight limit of 250 lbs
- Minimum age is 5
Medical: Please advise your guide of any allergies and/or needed medications. BRING THEM WITH YOU-Epipen, inhaler, etc.
Clothing
- Closed-toe athletic shoes with good grip, climbing shoes optional (Bring them if you have them)
- Comfortable, flexible clothing you can easily move in
- Layers if the forecast or guides recommend it. The weather in the canyon can change quickly
- In cold weather-avoid cotton. Synthetics like polypropylene or natural fibers preferred.
- Water bottle at least 1 liter recommended
- Snacks or quick energy granola bar, trail mix, etc.
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses with a strap, optional but helpful
- Small backpack to carry personal items
- No jewelry or plan to remove or secure it
We may need to cancel or postpone the climb due to factors like snow, showers, lightning, wet rock, etc.
- Sun Cap
- Warm – over the ears cap and light, synthetic gloves for temperatures below 50 degrees
- Rain jacket if the forecast looks uncertain
- Camera/phone for photos – we recommend a secure pocket for carrying
Tea

Featuring hand-crafted specialty teas paired with a thoughtfully curated menu of seasonal soup, fresh salad, delicate sandwiches, savory canapés, and house-made pastries, this experience invites guests to slow down and savor every moment.
Held in the historic Castle Music Room and Library, Afternoon Tea offers Colorado Springs locals and visitors alike the chance to step back in time to the elegant era of General Palmer—making it a truly unique and memorable part of any Glen Eyrie visit.
Tour
Step into history with one of Glen Eyrie’s guided tours—an unforgettable way to experience the heart of the property. Offered twice daily, our Castle Tours invite guests to explore the historic residence of Colorado Springs founder General William Jackson Palmer while learning about the deep spiritual legacy of The Navigators.

For student groups, Glen Eyrie also offers educational historical tours available by advance reservation, providing an engaging, curriculum-enriching experience.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast or a curious first-time visitor, Glen Eyrie tours bring the stories, architecture, and enduring impact of this remarkable estate to life.
Outdoor Spaces

Kick your shoes off and lounge amidst the peace of Glen Eyrie. Unwind in one of our hammocks, stroll through the beautifully maintained Rose Garden, or enjoy a friendly game of cornhole. Guests are also welcome to use our Sports Green for a variety of outdoor games and activities––making it easy to relax, play, and take in the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Castle Terrace

The Terrace invites you to slow down and take in sweeping views of the entrance to Queen’s Canyon and the striking red rock formations that frame the property. With the gentle sound of the fountain and crisp mountain air all around, even a casual meal becomes something special.
Whether you’re enjoying a peaceful morning coffee or turning an Uber Eats delivery into an effortless dining al fresco experience, the Terrace offers the perfect blend of scenery, serenity, and Colorado charm.
