About the Gala
Celebrate the beginning of a new year at the Glen Eyrie Castle! The Gala consists of a sumptuous 4 course dinner, live music, and room to dance the night away.
Musical entertainment is provided by the Gentle Rain Band. Taking the classic jazz standards, this group blends traditional and contemporary styles to present an unforgettable musical experience. Sultry vocalist Marcelle Hureau tells a story in every song she sings. Saxophonist and vocalist Ed Hureau brings to the stage an almost-forgotten era of style and class. Guitarist Jim Christian adds in the blues, jazz and soul. And bassist, Jay Hahn, supplies the rhythmic foundation with his virtuosity and melodic solo style. Drummer Scott Barbier is amazing on any musical style. All members are retired US Air Force and were part of the Air Force Academy Band. Enjoy a range of genres to dance to including swing, country, pop, blues, classical rock and more.
Invite your special someone to enjoy the dance floor with you as you celebrate. At 10:00 pm, we will watch the ball drop in Times Square in NYC via livestream. We will toast the new year with Martinelli’s sparkling cider (Gleyn Eyrie is an alcohol-free property) and conclude.
Evening Schedule
- 5:00pm Castle doors open. Enjoy a Mocktail and a Scavenger Hunt in our Castle Foyer
- 5:45 pm Seating in the Great Hall
- 6:00 Dinner is served
- 7:00 pm approximately – the party gets started
- 10:00 pm – Welcome the New Year with a livestream of the ball drop in Times Square, New York City – event concludes
- 11:00 pm Optional Night Hike for overnight stay guests
Overnight Stays
For guests who book an overnight stay, we will be offering a guided special hike after the Gala ends to enjoy the view of fireworks come midnight over Pikes Peak. Bring hiking boots and necessary clothing and gear for this night hike on Glen Eyrie grounds.
Start the New Year off right! Enjoy breakfast on New Year’s Day with your overnight reservation. Breakfast will be prepared by our Culinary team and provided in the Castle Dining Room. Take the morning to enjoy with a convenient late check out at noon on January 1st.

Seating is at round tables of 8. Guests will be assigned seats. Please let us know if you desire to sit with another party.

Payment is required at the time of reservation using a major credit card. Tickets are non-refundable, but may be transferred.
Please notify us in advance of any special needs you have. We do have an elevator and handicap access to the Great Hall.
Our NYE Gala is formal in nature. We encourage our guests to dress up!
