Legacy of Faith is an intimate and uplifting retreat exclusively for grandparent couples. You will discover a renewed purpose, a deeper connection with your spouse, and practical tools to nurture and grow the faith of your children and grandchildren. 

During the retreat experience the peaceful setting of Glen Eyrie to unplug and reconnect with each other.  Meet other couples walking through similar experiences and share ideas, prayers and wisdom.  Enjoy a safe and natural environment that encourages meaningful conversations.

Topics covered include:

  • Navigating challenges such as long-distance relationships, prodigal children, estrangement and spiritual resistance.
  • Sharing your personal God-stories in ways that inspire hope and impart wisdom.
  • Fostering deeper, more effective cross-generational communication.
  • Deepening relationships with your children and grandchildren.

Through Scripture, we will examine God’s directives for grandparents and the importance of passing along stories of His greatness, as well as personal God-stories to future generations for His glory.

Mike and Becky McNamee

Married since 1984, Mike and Becky McNamee reside in Colorado Springs and are blessed with three married children and five grandchildren. In 2013, they pioneered Bold Destiny, a ministry equipping and encouraging couples to fulfill God’s design for their marriage, and to leave a lasting spiritual legacy. They currently lead the “Marriage GetAway” retreats for couples and “Legacy of Faith” retreats for Grandparents at the Glen Eyrie Conference Center.

The retreat curriculum is designed for grandparent couples to reflect on their current spiritual legacy and envision what they want it to look like in the final quarter of their lives as a team. This provides a unique opportunity to consider how they can influence future generations, particularly their grandchildren. Additionally, this experience fosters deeper intimacy in their marriage and shared fellowship with other couples who share kindred hearts.

Our property is over 700 acres and contains 8 miles of private hiking trails. Depending on where you are staying, you should be prepared to do lots of walking. Our weather can be unpredictable, so pack layers. Attire for the retreat is casual, and don’t forget your Bible!

Glen Eyrie Programs require payment in full at the time of reservation. Reservations cancelled or rescheduled at least 14 days prior to the start date will be charged a 10% fee. Reservations cancelled or rescheduled within 14 days of the start date will be charged a 50% fee. Reservations cancelled within 3 days of the event date will be charged the full amount.

Our property contains 95 guest rooms in 7 different lodges, including our historic Castle. None of our rooms have TV’s, although free wi-fi is available throughout the property. Rooms contain coffee makers, but no microwaves or refrigerators. They are available for guest use in the common areas of each lodge.
