About the Retreat
Do you ever wish God would speak directly to you? The Psalms are filled with the heart cry of a man for his God. But they are also overflowing with the depths of God’s heart for you.
We invite you to join us as we allow our hearts to be renewed by the Good Shepherd.
Spend a weekend on the inspiring Glen Eyrie property and walk through a guided time of hearing from God through the Psalms. Veteran Navigator Vic Black will share his passion and methods to hear from God through Scripture, which he has developed over many years of walking with the Lord.
Spend three days learning, resting in and hearing from God. You will return to your everyday life renewed and refreshed in your soul.
We are excited to offer this retreat with author Vic Black as our keynote speaker. All attendees will receive a his book, Speak, Lord: Hearing Psalms in the First Person.

Retreat Leader
Vic Black
Born and raised in North Carolina, Vic became a follower of Jesus at the age of 18. A year later, he was introduced to The Navigators. He earned an undergraduate degree in computer science from North Carolina State University in 1977. After working for four years in the computer industry, he and his wife Lindy joined Navigator staff.
For 21 years, he served as Collegiate Staff before becoming the National Prayer Director for The Navigators. In this role, he had the privilege of guiding staff members in God-Focused prayer and partnering with leaders, supporting them through prayer and helping them carry out their leadership roles. In field ministries, he led prayer retreats, taught biblical principles of prayer, and facilitated developmental workshops, all aimed at deepening people’s relationship with Jesus in fresh and creative ways.
In 2016, he transitioned to the role of Associate Director for the Nations Within Mission, focusing on ministering to culturally unassimilated people groups.
Currently, he serves on the U.S. Leadership Team as the Strategic Prayer Lead, emphasizing God-Focused prayer. He has dedicated 46 years to The Navigators’ mission of knowing Christ, making Him known, and helping others do the same.
He and his wife, Lindy, enjoy hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountains, playing games, and savoring good food. They have three grown children and are proud grandparents to 13 grandchildren.
